Anyone officially residing in Portland, OR who needs Italian consular services must get in contact with the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco. They will provide assistance with citizenship, passports, pensions, vital records, registry with AIRE (a service specific to Italian citizens who are residents abroad), electoral and notary services, and much more.
Portland is also serviced by an Honorary Italian Consulate that has an office in the Pearl District. The primary function of this auxiliary office is to provide assistance with visas to Italy. The Honorary Italian Consulate in Portland does not process citizenship or passport applications, or assist with many of the other consular services mentioned above.
